I have always been captured by narrative.

When I was a child navigating the New York City subways, I imagined other strap-hangers’ lives, pictured them at work, visualized what they did for fun. Later, as a third-grade teacher, I created experiential learning curricula using visual arts and story telling. And then as a lawyer writing briefs to the appellate courts, I used descriptive language to bring my clients to life.

Retired from word craft, enriched by years of stories and visual NYC memories, inspired by the urban landscape of my Oakland, California hometown, my photography preserves a moment of time, place, person.

Allow my images to evoke your own stories. See what I see.
